IGARSS is a premier event in remote sensing and provides an ideal forum for obtaining up-to-date information about the latest developments, exchanging ideas, identifying future trends and making networking with the international geoscience and remote sensing community. Hosted by the IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing Society, the 2020 IEEE International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium (IGARSS 2020) will be held Saturday, September 26 through Friday, October 2, 2020 in a virtual setting. The main theme of the 2020 symposium is “Remote Sensing: Global Perspectives for Local Solutions”.
Currently, most of the open source applications available for field data collection with mobile devices are developed to work exclusively on Android systems and therefore, for IOS users, the choice is extremely limited and the available applications do not always offer easy-to-use interfaces. and intuitive. Furthermore, choosing an application for IOS or Android implies that it is not possible to involve users of one and the other system at the same time.
